Lagoon Myst began with a question: what does a place smell like when you are not there?
The house works from a single studio in Malé. Materials arrive from the surrounding atolls — screwpine, frangipani, dried pandan — and are distilled in small batches.
Nothing is composed off-island, and nothing leaves before ninety days of rest. It is a slower way to work, and it is the only way we know how.
